Rawafid Psychology Knowledge Platform: Start Here
Rawafid is an Arabic-first knowledge platform for psychology, mental health, disability, inclusive education, family support, addiction recovery and evidence literacy. This English gateway exists to help international readers understand the structure of the platform and locate the most relevant Arabic material. It does not pretend that every destination page is available in English.
What you can find
The platform currently contains thousands of published pages organised into seven active sectors: Knowledge & Encyclopedia, Special Needs & Inclusive Education, Mental Health, Child–Family–School, Pediatric Oncology, Addiction & Recovery, and Trainees & Volunteers. The largest collections are the knowledge encyclopedia, inclusive-education and disability resources, and mental-health guidance.
Use the Knowledge & Encyclopedia sector when you need a definition, a comparison between similar concepts, a research-methods explanation, or a structured academic resource. Use Special Needs & Inclusive Education for autism, ADHD, developmental and neurological conditions, AAC, sensory and motor access, assistive technology, school accommodations and transition to adulthood. Use Mental Health for anxiety, mood, OCD, trauma, sleep, emotional regulation, personality disorders, cognitive ageing and care decisions.
The Child–Family–School sector focuses on parenting, family relationships, school participation and practical support. Pediatric Oncology contains evidence-based material for children with cancer and their families, including symptoms, psychosocial support, late effects and research digests. Addiction & Recovery covers substance-use disorders, withdrawal, recovery, family support and service decisions. Trainees & Volunteers contains role boundaries, ethics and practical learning material.
How to use the platform
Start with the question you actually need answered. If you need the meaning of a term, begin in the encyclopedia. If you are deciding between two interpretations, open a comparison. If you need a practical next step, use a guide. If you are evaluating a claim, intervention or study, use the academic library and evidence sections. When a topic is health-related, treat the page as education and decision support rather than a diagnosis or personalised prescription.
Language and search
Most full pages are Arabic. English terms are used in titles, aliases and search metadata where they help readers find the Arabic concept. This is deliberate: Rawafid preserves accurate international terminology while keeping the main explanatory content accessible to Arabic readers. English expansion should add complete, reviewed pages rather than partial machine-translated shells.
Editorial approach
Pages are organised by search intent, taxonomy and evidence. Stronger canonical pages are preferred over competing duplicates. Medical, psychological and educational claims are linked to recognised institutional or scholarly sources when the claim requires evidence. The platform also maintains a source registry and a methodology for revision, correction and provenance.
